Toy soldier, 1/30th scale depicting a British soldier during the Great War, on the European front.
The British army was the only one that at the beginning of the conflict used more modern uniforms that renounced the colors of uniforms of the 19th century.
Both French and German began the war still with a slightly colorful appearance, much more in the French case.
Their clothing differed little from that worn in the Franco-Prussian war. Britain, however, had adopted the khaki color for its soldiers since the late nineteenth century, when they abandoned their bright red coats to use colors that were better confused with the terrain.
