During the Spanish Civil War, both sides commandeered almost all civil motorcycles that swelled the mobile parks of different units.
The figure represents an artillery sergeant of the republican popular army, who rides on an English-made Triumph motorcycle with the typical paint of this civilian vehicle.
The soldier is covered with an unarmed plate cap in which he looks vertical sergeant stripes according to the new currency system used by the republican side to differentiate from the regulations that remained in use in the rebel army.
He wears riding breeches and boots with high leather boots and corduroy and is dressed in a civilian leather jacket very popular in the army of the popular front.
