As in all contemporary armies, the Russian standard bearers belonged to the officer corps.
As a general rule, Russian officials covered their heads with high bacons adorned with falling plumes cases falling rather than remaining upright on the hat, as cascading from its edge. In campaign, officers trousers were dark gray, being so different, even more troop commanded.
The flag of each regiment, composed in the Prussian style, kept in the Center within a border, the double-headed imperial Eagle of the Tsar, while the rest of the flag cloth, was cross of white Malta, with the spaces between its arms, the color of the badge of the regiment.
