It was usual during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, that the musicians (cornets and drums), both in the cavalry and in the infantry, changed the colors of their uniform.
For this reason, this trumpet of 4th hussars regiment, has changed the colors of his dolman and his pelisse, following the inverse pattern of the uniform of his companions.
It was also usual for the horses of these soldiers to be white so that they could be easily located by their companions and thus be able to follow more efficiently the orders that the latter transmitted with their cornet touches.
