PR 023 Praetorian centurion Vitelius

The year 70 d. C, known as the year of the four emperors, faced four suitors to the imperial government.

The generals Galba, Otón, Vitelio and Vespasiano.

When dying Galba, the troops of Vitelio and Otón, faced in the first battle of Cremona, where the second one found the death after being defeated its legions.

From that moment, the fourth legion, faithful to Vitelio, acquired the rank of Praetorian guard, facing months later and in the same scenario to the troops of Vespasiano, that finally would rise with the power, giving to the empire a necessary period of peace.

This toy soldier, represents a Centurion of the old fourth legion in his role as Praetorian guard of Vespasian.
