GA 022 Captain Pablo Arredondo, 1921

Historical 1/30 scale (60 mm) figure depicting Captain Pablo Arredondo in 1921, during the Spanish Army campaigns in North Africa and the Rif War.

Arredondo was selected by Millán Astray and Francisco Franco as Captain of the 1st Company of the 1st Bandera of the Tercio de Extranjeros, as they considered him the ideal officer to command what would become the Tercio's first company.

He was one of the early officers involved in the organisation of the Tercio de Extranjeros, founded in 1920 and later known as the Spanish Legion.

Arredondo was also awarded the Laureate Cross of Saint Ferdinand, Spain's highest military decoration for exceptional acts of bravery.
