Virgil, the brother of Wyatt Earp, worked alongside this and his other brothers to run a gaming room in the city of Tombston. Together with his brothers he also dealt with the defense of law and order in the city.
They became famous among other things for the mourning that they maintained with a group of gunmen and cowboys in OK Corral of said city.
He was born on July 18, 1843 in Kentucky. He was appointed Marshall's assistant to Tucson in 1879. In 1880 he was named Marshall of Tombston. And he recruits his brothers, Wyatt and Morgan as helpers. After the shooting of OK Corral, Virgil and his brothers are tried and exculpated in 1881.
