CT 024 – Egyptian Soldier Firing 2, Tel el-Kebir 1882
Captured in the heat of battle, this Egyptian soldier is shown aiming and firing his rifle, with a dynamic pose that conveys the tension and intensity of a 19th-century battlefield.
The figure wears the characteristic white uniform and red fez of the Egyptian troops of the period, together with his field equipment and bayonet. The positioning of the body, arms and rifle recreates the moment when the soldier opens fire against the enemy.
The figure represents the Egyptian troops who took part in the Tel el-Kebir campaign of 1882, a decisive episode of the Anglo-Egyptian War.
It belongs to our Egypt 1882 – Tel el-Kebir Collection, a series of historical military miniatures dedicated to 19th-century armies and military conflicts.
This Toy Soldier is an excellent addition for collectors of historical soldiers, 19th-century armies and colonial warfare, and can be combined with the other figures in the collection to create detailed battlefield scenes and military dioramas.
