CT 030 – Black Watch Highlander NCO Advancing – Tel-el-Kebir 1882

Moving at the head of his men, this Black Watch NCO advances with purpose during the Egyptian campaign of 1882. His determined stance and forward movement capture the role of a non-commissioned officer leading his troops towards the battlefield.

The figure wears the distinctive uniform of the Scottish Highlanders, including the red doublet, famous Black Watch tartan kilt, white crossbelts, gaiters and campaign helmet. His rifle is carried in a marching position as he moves forward, ready for action.

The Black Watch, known as the 42nd Royal Highlanders, was one of the Scottish regiments that took part in the British campaign in Egypt and the operations leading to the Battle of Tel-el-Kebir on 13 September 1882.

This figure belongs to our Tel-el-Kebir 1882 Collection, created to represent the British and Egyptian troops involved in this important episode of 19th-century military history.

An excellent Toy Soldier for collectors of historical military miniatures, the British Army, Highland regiments, the Black Watch and colonial warfare. As an NCO figure, it is particularly useful as a command figure within a formation of Highlanders.

Handcrafted in white metal, at 1/30 scale (60 mm), in our workshop in Spain.
