CT 028 – Black Watch Highlander Marching – Tel-el-Kebir 1882

This figure depicts a soldier of the Black Watch marching during the British campaign in Egypt in 1882. The figure captures the distinctive appearance of the Scottish Highlanders, wearing a red doublet, Black Watch tartan kilt, white crossbelts and campaign helmet, while carrying his regulation rifle.

The striking combination of the scarlet uniform and dark tartan kilt makes this figure an especially attractive addition to any collection of historical Toy Soldiers. The marching pose is ideal for recreating British columns advancing towards the battlefield of Tel-el-Kebir.

The Black Watch, also known as the 42nd Royal Highlanders, was among the British forces sent to Egypt in 1882. Its participation in the campaign and at the Battle of Tel-el-Kebir forms part of the long military history of this famous Scottish regiment.

This figure belongs to our Tel-el-Kebir 1882 Collection, dedicated to the armies that took part in the Egyptian campaign.

An excellent addition for collectors of Toy Soldiers, historical military miniatures, Scottish regiments, the Black Watch, the British Army and 19th-century colonial conflicts. It can be combined with the sergeant and other figures in the collection to build a complete unit and create detailed historical dioramas.

Handcrafted in white metal, at 1/30 scale (60 mm), in our workshop in Spain.
