During the war against France of 1808, he receives his numbering as infantry regiment Zaragoza No. 12. In the war of Roussillon from 1793 to 1795 he participated in the defense of the central Pyrenees and in the war of Independence, in the battles of Medina from Rioseco, Bailén, Tamames and Alba de Tormes.
