HANDCRAFTED TOY SOLDIER depicting a mounted free lancer of the Swabian League, armed with a long lance. Cast in metal and hand-painted, this collectible stands out for its carefully finished details, striking red clothing and dynamic mounted pose. An independent 1:30 scale piece, handcrafted by Kronprinz Toy Soldiers.
At the beginning of the 16th century, the territories of southern Germany were marked by intense political and military rivalries. Founded in 1488, the Swabian League brought together imperial cities, nobles and princes in a powerful alliance with its own armed forces. Its mounted contingents included noble cavalry as well as lesser-ranked horsemen who offered their services as soldiers.
This TOY SOLDIER portrays one of these mounted lancers, riding forward with his long lance ready. He wears a striking red garment, a hat decorated with a large plume and high boots, evoking the appearance of German fighting men during the Renaissance. The horse, captured in a lively moving pose, adds energy and character to the scene. A historical interpretation inspired by Renaissance Germany and the military tradition of the Swabian League.
