This official shows the typical appearance that these men had in the campaign, with the neck, cuffs and shoulder straps with colors indicating the regiment and the Deputy inspection to which it belonged.
The grey trousers used in campaign could be replaced by another of the same color which covered boots and was buttoned to the sides.
In 1805, the Pavlov regiment did not belong even to the imperial guard.
It was in 1813 when he was elevated to that status.
