The Battle of Bosworth, fought on 22 August 1485, brought the Wars of the Roses to an end and placed Henry Tudor on the English throne as Henry VII, founder of the Tudor dynasty. This TOY SOLDIER depicts a knight serving in his army, wearing plate armour and riding a horse protected by metal defences, as English nobles fought in the late 15th century. Tudor knights formed part of the force that confronted Richard III in the decisive battle that changed the course of English history.
