The Celtic peoples from the Caucasus were advancing and entering Europe from the beginning of history.
The Achaeans and Dorians who conquered Mycenaean Greece and later became the archetype of classical Greece, were part of one of the earliest Celtic waves that equipped with iron weapons changed the appearance of Europe.
The Romans were also of Celtic origin, but the Celtic waves continued arriving at Europe.
The following became what is the archetypal image of the Celtic, the Gauls.
In fact they belonged to the same trunk as those who crossed the Pyrenees mingling with the Iberians and the Germans who came after them.
